The three principal aspects of the path are renunciation, bodhicitta, and correct view.
1. Renunciation : seeing all cyclic existence as having the nature of suffering, one generates in his or her mental stream the desire to become free from it.
2. Bodhicitta : if one wants to attain the state of omniscience, he or she has to establish the intention of benefitting others through aspiring to bring benefit to others
3. Correct view: because it is the correct view of emptiness, one also has to non-mistakenly know the essentials of all phenomena not being established by nature.
